Our Shabbos Morning is a spiritually rich time for kids and the adults who love to be with them.

Every year, P'nai Or crafts a Children's Program in response to the needs of our families and the ages of their children. The P'nai Or Children's Program nurtures children within the loving context of our larger P'nai Or Community.

This season beginning in Sept 2011, our Shabbos Children’s Educational Programming will be twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Shabbos Mornings.  Special programming is also available for all the High Holidays.

We send our loving prayers to Malka Goodman, Jewish educator extraordinaire, who has taught the children in her famous, warm, loving, spiritually infused way, with songs, story-telling, Torah, Hebrew, prayers, holidays... and more! She will return to teach our children as soon as she is able. 

The Shabbos morning program is an extension of our desire to include children within the experience of a P'nai Or Shabbos lively,participatory morning service every week!

We have a special family and children "pray and play" rug with back-jacks, cushions and child-size seats in our davvenen room, so parents and children can have their own special place to sit together during the service.

Until Malka is able to resume her classes with the children, twice a month on Shabbos morning we'll offer a special parent-led Children's Kiddush and short program in our adjacent "Children's Program Room." This is scheduled to coincide with the more adult-level prayer, study or meditative time in the service, such as the Torah teaching component for example. It is expected that younger children (under 8) will be accompanied by a parent so that all the children and their parents can have fun learning together!
